Theia Onboarding: Troubleshooting the "Share Data" Onboarding Step

Resolving an "Incorrect Username/Password" error message on step 5 of your Theia onboarding

If you're having difficulty with the "Share your Libre data with Theia" step of your onboarding, there are a few steps you can take to help resolve the error and successfully complete this step.

If you're seeing an error regarding an incorrect email and password combination, the first step is always to verify that everything looks correct with your email address in your Libre account.

You can confirm that by navigating to the "Account Information" tab in your Libre account by selecting "Profile", "Account", then "Account Information". The email address used for your Libre account will be shown at the bottom of this page.

Ensure that everything looks correct and that you don't see any typos.

In the video, I'd entered the incorrect email address, so I retry with the email I saw in my Libre account. That still didn't do the trick, so I'll proceed to the next step, which is to verify or reset my Libre credentials on the Libreview website, libreview.com.

First, I'm confirming my country before being taken to the login screen, where I'm testing the same credentials I entered into Theia.

I'm notified that the email and password comination is incorrect, so I'll proceed to resetting my password by selecting "Forgot Password" and entering the email address I used for my Libre account.

After a short wait, I have the reset instructions in my email inbox and select "Reset Password". I'm taken back to the Libreview site where I set a new password manually, being sure to write it down so I have it handy to enter into Theia shortly.

After successfully resetting my password, I navigate back to my Theia app to complete the "Share Data" step. I enter the recently confirmed email address as well as the new password I just set, making sure to do so manually since my autofill feature is attempting to insert my password for Theia, rather than Libre.

My credentials are confirmed, successfully syncing the accounts. I can now proceed with my remaining onboarding steps.

Key Tips

  • Create a password for your Libre app that you can easily remember, or be sure to write it down/save it somewhere convenient so you can easily enter it into Theia for this part of your onboarding.

  • Avoid using autofill tools for this onboarding step.
