After installing the Theia app and completing your onboarding questionnaire, the next step in your onboarding is to download the CGM app that will pair directly with the sensor being mailed to you.
Click the download link to go directly to the app store and download the appropriate app.
Once installed, you can proceed to creating an account. Here, I'm demonstrating creating an account in the Libre app.
You'll see some disclosures and be prompted to enter some personal details, including name and birthdate.
You may see a warning about phone compatibility, but as long as you were able to download the app onto your device, you can feel free to bypass this alert and proceed with account creation.
When creating your account, it's important to write down or otherwise document the email and password used for your CGM app. You'll need this information later when syncing this account with Theia, so you'll want to keep it handy.
After confirming your email and password, you may see marketing and research approvals. This is completely up to your discretion. In the video, I've opted out of both.
After the welcome screen, you'll be guided through initial settings, what glucose readings will look like in the Libre app, and alarm settings.
You'll be tracking your meals and carbohydrates in Theia, but go ahead and make a selection to proceed through the Carbohydrate Units step. In the video, I select grams.
Next, the Libre app walks through various colors and arrows one might see in the app, as well as sharing the warning that high doses of vitamin C can cause CGM readings to be innacurate.
Next, the Libre app walks through various permissions needed for the app to work as expected. You'll want to allow the app to find Bluetooth devices and send notifications. It will also need to be able to send criticial alerts. Don't worry, we'll adjust the alarm settings to minimize disruptions in a later onboarding step.
You'll be shown a list of warnings regarding your phone's settings and features. Your phone's default settings should be fine, and you can proceed to hitting "Next", after which, you'll see confirmation that your app setup is complete.
Let's go back to your Theia app and proceed with your onboarding steps there.
First, you can confirm that you have installed the Libre app.
The next step is to create a Libre account. We've already done that and made sure to write down the email and password we used while doing so.
This next step, "Share your Libre data with Theia," is where we sync the two apps together. Here is where you'll enter the email and password used while creating your Libre account. You'll want to avoid using the autofill feature for this step.
Now that you've created your Libre account and successfully synced it to Theia, you're all set to proceed with your remaining onboarding steps.
