What should I do when the Libre App says signal loss?

Troubleshooting signal loss issues between your sensor and the Libre app.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The most common reasons for a signal loss are:

  1. Bluetooth is turned off on your phone

  2. You are far away from your cell phone (more than 33 feet)

  3. You have turned off the Libre 3 app

If it was one of the above common reasons, the connection should be restored within 2-4 minutes of remedying the issue. However, if the signal is still not restored, please try the following:

  1. Close the Libre 3 app completely and then reopen

  2. Restart your phone

  3. Turn your phone's Bluetooth off for a full minute and then turn it back on

    • iPhone - go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth. After a minute, you can turn Bluetooth back on.

    • Android - open Settings, locate Bluetooth, and swipe to turn Bluetooth off. After a minute, you can turn Bluetooth back on.

Your sensor stores up to 8 hours of data at a time. As long as the connection is restored within that period, there will be no data loss.

If you continue to have issues with signal loss after these steps, please send us a message at [email protected].
